Kim Dae-jung on the Road

The film revisits the life of South Korea’s 15th president, Kim Dae-jung, a businessman-turned-politician who suffered multiple attempts on his life as opposition leader and later was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as president for pursuing engagement with North Korea. This documentary film follows Kim’s life as he leads the country on some of its first steps toward democracy. The film combines unpublished material and archival footage as well as voices of people who shared historic moments with him.
KCC Inc. and various organisations in Sydney have collaborated on the first film of 2024, a documentary titled "Kim Dae-jung On the Road" commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of former President Kim Dae-jung.
